Created through a partnership between CodePath and Anthropic, the fellowship places talented individuals inside nonprofits, government agencies, and public-interest organizations across the United States for a transformative year of hands-on impact.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how organizations operate, but many public-interest institutions still lack the expertise and resources needed to benefit from these technologies fully. The Claude Corps Fellowship was designed to bridge that gap by placing emerging AI talent directly within organizations that are working to address important social challenges.
Fellows will spend one year embedded at a host organization, helping identify opportunities where AI can improve workflows, increase efficiency, and create new possibilities. Rather than focusing solely on technical development, fellows will also help staff members understand and adopt AI tools, ensuring that the impact continues long after the fellowship ends.
Throughout the year, fellows may build AI-powered automations, internal tools, dashboards, evaluation systems, and other practical solutions using Claude. They will collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, lead training sessions, and support organizational change through the thoughtful implementation of AI technologies.
The program seeks adaptable individuals who are comfortable navigating complex challenges, working independently, and translating technical concepts into practical solutions. Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to serving communities through technology.
The first Claude Corps cohort is scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have less than two years of professional work experience
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Be willing to relocate within the United States if assigned to a host organization in another location
- Demonstrate a strong interest in social-impact work
- Have completed and shipped an independent project, automation, tool, or similar initiative
- Be able to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences
- Complete both AI Fluency and Claude 101 before applying
- Submit proof of completion for both prerequisite courses with the application
Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience working in small teams or organizations
- Teaching, mentoring, or workshop facilitation experience
- Exposure to sectors such as public health, education, civic technology, workforce development, or social services
- Experience with AI agents, evaluation frameworks, or production-level LLM deployments
