Designed to support outstanding individuals who are creating positive change in their communities, this fully funded scholarship removes financial barriers and provides access to one of the world’s most influential youth leadership gatherings.

For young changemakers working on local or global challenges, the scholarship provides a platform to connect with global leaders, expand their networks, and amplify the impact of their work.

One Young World is committed to ensuring that talented young leaders from every corner of the world can participate in global conversations that shape the future. Through its flagship Leading Scholarship, the organization identifies exceptional individuals who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a strong commitment to addressing important social, economic, environmental, or community issues.

Successful applicants will attend the One Young World Summit 2026, scheduled to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–6 November 2026. The event brings together thousands of young leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, activists, and experts from nearly every country, creating a unique environment for collaboration and learning.

The scholarship particularly seeks applicants from countries that have traditionally been underrepresented at global forums and decision-making spaces. First-time attendees of the One Young World Summit are especially encouraged to apply.

Beyond the Summit experience itself, scholars gain access to a global community of more than 20,000 young leaders from 196 countries. Many participants continue collaborating long after the event, launching projects, building partnerships, and accessing mentoring opportunities that help advance their careers and social impact initiatives.
