About the Program

The GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders 2026 are designed to build the next generation of public health leaders committed to improving health outcomes in Africa.

Funded scholarships support students enrolling in a one-year, full-time MSc programme in London at LSHTM. The initiative focuses on strengthening health systems, advancing research capacity, and developing leadership skills essential for tackling Africa’s pressing health challenges.

Scholars are expected to return to their home countries after graduation and apply their expertise to public health policy, research, and health system strengthening.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be nationals and residents of sub-Saharan African countries
  • Intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc
  • Demonstrate financial need and inability to self-fund the program
  • Hold a first degree equivalent to First Class or Upper Second Class
  • Secure admission to a London-based, full-time MSc at LSHTM for 2026–27
  • Meet LSHTM English language requirements by June 15, 2026
  • Show strong potential to contribute to public health or health research in Africa

Note: Distance learning and certain joint MSc programmes are not eligible.
