About the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity Program

The Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity is a global leadership development program designed to empower professionals committed to eliminating health inequities. The fellowship brings together leaders from diverse sectors such as public health, medicine, policy, research, law, journalism, social enterprise, education, and community development.

Each year, 15โ€“20 fellows are selected to join a multidisciplinary global cohort. Through in-person convenings, virtual learning, mentorship, and collaborative projects, fellows gain the knowledge, leadership skills, and international network needed to drive meaningful change in health systems and communities.

The program supports fellows in advancing a real-world project focused on improving health equity within their professional or community context.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity 2027, applicants must:

  • Have at least 3 years of full-time professional experience
  • Be early- to mid-career professionals
  • Currently work in a health-related or health-impact sector
  • Hold a leadership role or have strong leadership potential
  • Demonstrate commitment to reducing health disparities
  • Be comfortable working in diverse, multidisciplinary teams
  • Be proficient in English
  • Have employer support to participate in fellowship activities

Eligible sectors include health care, public policy, academia, research, law, housing, media, business, arts, and social impact fields.
