The program is implemented by Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Uganda in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. Over seven years from 2024 to 2030, the initiative aims to support approximately 2,000 young people across Uganda, helping them transition successfully from education to employment.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, 600 bursaries are available:
- 400 bursaries for the Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC) pathway
- 200 bursaries for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs
Participants who complete the HEAC program can later progress to degree programs at partner universities, while TVET students gain practical skills through technical and vocational institutions.
