About the Opportunity
The Google Creative Fellowship 2026 is a structured six-month program designed for emerging creative talent. Fellows are placed on dedicated in-house creative teams and gain direct exposure to real projects across departments such as Brand Studio, Creative Lab, Google Cloud Brand & Creative, and YouTube Creative Studio.
Participants work alongside writers, designers, technologists, filmmakers, strategists, and producers to create brand campaigns, experimental digital experiences, AI-powered storytelling, motion design, and enterprise creative projects.
The fellowship is based in the United States, with placements in cities including New York and San Francisco. Fellows are expected to work in the office at least 3 times per week to engage with their teams fully.
Importantly, this is not an internship. Fellows are hired as paid freelancers through Google’s staffing partners for the duration of the program. If you are a researcher in the MENA region, you might also be interested in the J-PAL MENA Scholars Fellowship 2026, which offers a $15,000 stipend for PhD holders.
