About the InteRussia Theatre Arts Fellowship 2026
For actors, growth often comes from stepping into unfamiliar creative environments. This fellowship is built around that idea, placing participants in Moscow, one of the world’s historic theatre capitals, and immersing them in a different performance tradition.
Hosted by the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), the programme focuses on practical development. Participants will train in stage speech, acting techniques, and movement, while also attending performances at some of Moscow’s leading theatres. Beyond the classroom, there’s a strong emphasis on exchange, learning how different cultures approach storytelling and performance.
By the end of the fellowship, each participant presents stage work developed during the programme, turning training into something tangible. It’s not just about learning new techniques; it’s about testing them in front of an audience.
This opportunity is officially offered by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, GITIS and TV BRICS International Media Network, and applicants should apply through the official application portal.
