NGFP Fellowship 2027 for Young Professionals (Grant)

Application Deadline: 26 June 2026 (23:59 GMT+1)

Applications are now open for the NGFP Fellowship 2027, a unique opportunity for emerging futures and foresight practitioners who want to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond. The fellowship supports young professionals from around the world with funding, mentorship, training, and access to a growing global network of changemakers working on some of today’s most complex challenges.

Whether you are exploring climate solutions, emerging technologies, health, peacebuilding, or other long-term societal issues, the fellowship offers a platform to strengthen your foresight skills and turn bold ideas into lasting impact.

The Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) Fellowship is designed for individuals and teams who are beginning their journey in futures and foresight. Rather than predicting the future, foresight helps communities and organizations prepare for uncertainty, identify emerging opportunities, and make better decisions for the long term.

Each year, NGFP selects a diverse cohort of aspiring practitioners committed to using futures thinking for social and environmental good. The fellowship combines project support, collaborative learning, expert guidance, and community engagement over a one-year journey.

Participants receive support to develop projects that address systems-level challenges while gaining exposure to a global network of professionals, innovators, and changemakers. The program is particularly interested in applicants working on areas such as Climate and Just Transitions, Democracy and Sustainable Development, Emerging Technologies, Indigenous Futures, Health, Intergenerational Fairness, Nuclear Security and Peacebuilding, and Rural Futures.

The fellowship is highly competitive, with only 25 places available in each annual cohort. However, strong applicants who are not selected may still have the opportunity to join the NGFP Sensing Network, a growing community of more than 900 practitioners worldwide.
