Western Union Global Fellowship 2026 (Financial Stipends)

Application Deadline: June 28, 2026

The Western Union Global Fellowship 2026 is designed for bold entrepreneurs working at the frontlines of social impact. Backed by Western Union and powered by the Watson Institute, this fully funded program supports leaders who improve the lives of refugees, displaced populations, and underserved communities worldwide.

This 16-week fellowship (August to December 2026) brings together a diverse group of changemakers building solutions where they are needed most. It goes beyond theory; participants engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world application of ideas that directly benefit their communities.

The program focuses on strengthening both leadership capacity and business sustainability. Fellows gain practical financial literacy skills, refine their ventures, and learn how to communicate their impact effectively. Through dedicated pitch training, participants prepare to present their work at a global Virtual Summit, opening doors to investors, collaborators, and long-term partners.

One standout feature is the “Basecamp” initiative. Each fellow designs and leads a one-day entrepreneurship training within their own community, supported by funding and a structured playbook. This ensures that knowledge gained during the fellowship doesn’t stay personal; it spreads, creating a ripple effect.

While fully funded, the fellowship requires consistent engagement, with weekly sessions and collaborative activities designed to push fellows toward meaningful growth and measurable results.
